We have compiled some of the main questions you may have, to better prepare your stay in Belmonte. We want you to feel safe and at ease, but if any doubts persist, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone. We are here for you.   

  • HOW FAR IS THEVAGAR - COUNTRY HOUSE FROM THE CENTRE OF BELMONTE?
    TheVagar is 3.5 km from the centre of Belmonte. Our country house is located in the middle of the Serra da Esperança, in an atmosphere of intense aromas, energetic contacts with mother nature and a return to the origins.
  • IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED IN THE ROOM RATE?
    Yes, our rates include regional breakfast. Breakfast is served between 09:00 and 11:00. If you have any food restrictions, please let us know.
  • FROM WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK IN?
    You can check in from 3pm.
  • UNTIL WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK OUT?
    You may check out until 12:00 am.
  • EXISTE INTERNET WIRELESS NO THEVAGAR?
    There is free wireless internet throughout the hotel.
  • "I CAN ONLY ARRIVE LATE EVENING, IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHECK IN BY WHAT TIME?"
    Reception is open until 22h00. If you cannot arrive until this time please contact us as early as possible to ensure your check-in, at a time to be defined.
  • I WILL ARRIVE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING, IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHECK IN EARLY?"
    We kindly request that you check-in after 15h00. However, if there are rooms available at the time of your arrival, earlier check-in is possible, please contact us if that is your wish. You can also leave your luggage free of charge.
  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHECK OUT LATER?
    If you wish to hold your room after 12h00 please contact us to verify this possibility. The following additional charges may apply: until 14h00 it costs 25% of the room price, until 16h00 it costs 50% of the room price and after 17h00 it will be applied of the total room cost. You should ask the reception desk in advance if you wish a late check out.
  • IS THERE A LAUNDRY SERVICE?
    Yes. Any laundry requests should be requested at the reception in advance.
  • IS THERE A SHUTTLE SERVICE?
    Yes, we can book a shuttle on request.
  • ARE PETS ALLOWED?
    Pets are not allowed. We are working to create the necessary conditions to welcome our four-legged friends.
  • CAN I USE THE SWIMMING POOL FREE OF CHARGE?
    Yes, the pool is free and exclusive to our guests.
  • DOES THEVAGAR HAVE PARKING FACILITIES?
    Yes, we have free outdoor parking.
  • WHAT IS THE RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY?
    If the cancellation or change of the reservation occurs up to seven days from the date of booking, there will be no penalty and the total amount of the reservation will be refunded. If the cancellation or change of the reservation occurs on the seventh day or seven days prior to the date of booking, the total amount of the reservation will be lost. If the cancellation occurs during the stay or in the case of a no show, the customer will be charged the full amount of the stay. Prepayment: a prepayment of the total amount of the reservation will be charged at any time. Booking or cancellation conditions may change according to the season. Note: We pre-authorise the credit card provided in order to guarantee the booking.
  • HOW CAN I CHANGE A BOOKING?

  • HOW CAN I CANCEL A BOOKING?
    To cancel a booking, please contact us directly, email: stay@thevagar.pt.
  • DOES THEVAGAR HAVE AN ELECTRIC CAR CHARGER?
    TheVagar offers its guests the possibility of charging their electric cars during their stay, on an accommodation basis. This service is subject to availability and requires booking. The service is free during the day, at night a fee of €20 applies per 3-hour charge. You should contact reception for more information about summer and winter opening hours. TheVagar declines any responsibility for damage caused to parked vehicles and for damage to vehicles due to misuse or poor handling of the equipment.
